Security Light?

An article in CNN.com sourced from Reuters here - http://edition.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/05/03/australia.cryptology.reut/index.html - heralds the possibility of hacker proof code by using a microscopic diamond to focus a photon beam of light.

“When it comes to cryptography, the problem is getting the key” said Melbourne University research fellow James Rabeau. “The single-photon beam makes for an unstealable key.” Time will tell.

Newz from Suze

Suzan St Maur is a very funny person. That is, she is professionally funny as a writer of humourous books. She is also a very helpful person who knows a lot of very useful things for writers (aspiring and expiring) and shares many of them through her blog. She is also a very valuable member of the Ecademy Writers Club and was a speaker at our first meeting in 2004 in Oxford UK. Suze also has her profile on Ecademy. Get to know her - you won't regret it.

Ecademy Writers are getting together again in two weeks time (May 14th) in Bristol and our speakers will be Katherine Trimble who will share her experiences writing for business and Mindy Gibbins-Klein, The Book Midwife, who will get that book out of you! I won't go into too much detail about book birthing in case you're squeamish. If you want to get involved with Ecademy Writers you need to do two things in this order -
  • Join Ecademy

  • Join Ecademy Writers Club

  • You will then be able to check out the details of the meeting and register for it.
